The Czech AI Association has announced the results of the AI Personalities 2025 poll. Jan Kavalírek, deputy minister of industry and trade and government plenipotentiary for AI, won the main category. Among the other award winners are names from business, research, public administration and culture.
The winner of the main category, AI Personality of the Year 2025, is Jan Kavalírek, one of the most prominent figures in public administration. He also came to prominence through preparing the Czech implementation of the European AI Act, and he is currently involved in several strategic projects, for example talks about building an AI Gigafactory in Czechia. For his work he received, besides the main prize, the Expert Jury Award.
In total, the Czech AI Association presented 12 awards. In the other categories, winners included Filip Dřímalka, founder of Digiskills and Aibility, a digital transformation consultant and author of the book Budoucnost nepráce, and Daniel Kvak, co-founder of the healthcare startup Carebot, who won the award for research and development.
In culture, the award went to Ondřej Svoboda, author of the legendary student parody Pár pařmenů, who now works on AI training in film production. Over the last year, his short film with Přemysl Oráč, which turned a historical figure into an influencer, resonated especially strongly in the creator community.
The discovery of the year is Dalibor Mráz, who leads the Černá.AI project focused on turning the Moravian-Silesian Region into a region oriented towards AI. The project of the year was CendAI, the Centre for Digitalisation and AI in the Justice System, which aims to bring modern technology and data access into the courtroom environment.

Among the most prominent projects is a fully automated morning and evening news summary for Frekvence 1, built on an AI avatar. We also use AI extensively in our editorial and publishing systems: automated tagging, creating audiovisual variants of content, video localisation and generating visuals for social formats.
