In a time when the podcast world is full of true crime, self-care and political analysis, a new podcast called Lepší už to nebude arrives. The trio of Patrik Hezucký, Zdeněk Pohlreich and Miloš Pokorný has already been through a lot and can talk about it with perspective, humour and irony. In just four months, the podcast has earned more than 4 million views on YouTube and 4th place at Podcast roku!
Patrik Hezucký, Zdeněk Pohlreich and Miloš Pokorný joined forces on the Lepší už to nebude podcast and created a format that is quickly finding its place on the scene. It has only just started, but it is already drawing enthusiastic reactions, and now, after just 20 episodes, it has reached millions of listens and views across platforms. On YouTube alone, we already have more than 4,050,000 views.
Three well-known faces speak openly about life, relationships and things that are not always comfortable, but are all the more real for it. Each episode covers topics that have depth and perspective. Dating, relationships with an age gap, missed chances, career turns, hyper-correctness, women's football or culinary faux pas. Plus Valentine's Day, life crises and moments everyone knows but few talk about out loud. And all of this without unnecessary filters, staged candour or attempts to lecture anyone.
Listeners quickly took a liking to the podcast for precisely this approach, as shown by the 4th place in the Podcast roku competition in the very competitive Interviews and Entertainment category.
A presenter, a chef and a singer meet
Hezucký is the familiar voice of the Ranní show on Evropa 2, which he has been presenting since the nineties and which can wake you up better than a double espresso. Pohlreich became a legend thanks to the show Ano, šéfe! and to this day is one of the strongest voices in Czech gastronomy. He also knows how to express his opinions clearly, and his catchphrases have, as a result, become permanently part of everyday language. Pokorný, meanwhile, is one of the icons of Czech entertainment. You may remember him not only from Těžkýho Pokondra but also from radio, where for years he formed a popular duo with Roman Ondráček. At first glance this may seem an unlikely trio, but in the end it is a bullseye. Record YouTube view counts and listening figures in podcast apps confirm it. Lepší už to nebude was made as content for people who have already been through something, who do not scroll TikTok from morning till night, but who still want to think, laugh and speak plainly. In a time when most content tries to reach people in their twenties, this podcast gives a voice to a generation that has something to say. That is exactly why it works so well.
