MrBeast, real name James Stephen Donaldson, is no longer “just” the biggest YouTuber on the planet. He is a company, a trend, a genre and an economy in its own right. And now he is adding another ambitious project: a global marketplace designed to connect creators with the largest American corporations.

Jeffrey Housenbold, CEO of Beast Industries, confirmed this at the New York Times DealBook Summit. According to him, a two-sided platform is being built that will open the doors of the biggest brands to creators. And it will help giants from the Fortune 1000 find their way through the chaotic world of influencers.

Creators as a new media agency

Similar ambitions appeared as early as the investor deck at the beginning of 2025. The platform is supposed to find creators suited to campaign goals, manage campaigns across platforms, and help with monetisation, audience growth and the brands’ own product launches.

MrBeast becomes a conglomerate

Beast Industries is no longer just a media company with extremely expensive production. Last year’s revenue did reach over $400 million, but high content production costs are pushing it to scale its business beyond YouTube. New lines are being added to the portfolio, such as financial services, a mobile carrier, expansion of consumer products (Feastables), action figures and the television show Beast Games on Amazon. MrBeast is thus building a model that resembles a hybrid of a media house, a D2C brand and a technology startup.

Why a marketplace?

The global influencer marketing market is growing at a relentless pace. In the US alone, according to the IAB, the market will reach $37 billion this year, growing four times faster than the rest of the media industry.

Brands are gradually moving money from traditional media to creators, but they do not always know how to do it. Coordinating hundreds of creators, their analytics, engagement quality and data transparency can be confusing even for large brands.

MrBeast has a key advantage over competitors: he is the biggest brand built on digital content, with more than 450 million subscribers. When a player like that says he understands creators and can connect them with business, marketers listen.

The competition will be fierce

MrBeast is not entering an empty space, though. Marketplace platforms already exist within large advertising holding companies, as do in-house tools from TikTok, YouTube and Instagram, and independent agencies with sophisticated matchmaking.

His brand could be a huge advantage, or a limit, if the big players are unwilling to build their business on infrastructure owned by the world’s biggest influencer.

Creators as the new Hollywood

The MrBeast marketplace is not just another project by a major influencer, but a hint of where the whole creator ecosystem could be heading. If an infrastructure emerges that connects creators with global brands as naturally as media agencies work today, it may well change the rules of the game for us too.
