You can join a brand's campaign without a single follower. The money comes in according to how many people actually saw the video, and the platform Noise is built on this model. Noise has raised $5.5 million in its initial funding round and wants to turn everyday smartphone owners into paid creators of brand content.

Money according to views

A user joins a brand's campaign regardless of follower count, uploads the video to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or YouTube, and Noise pays them according to the number of views. The platform does not pay a flat fee per post. Newcomers first go through training modules and have access to only some of the campaigns. After further training and more assignments, better-paid offers can open up to them. Noise takes a cut of what the brand pays for delivered views. According to the company, its best creators on the platform earn over $100,000 a year.

The founders started with a game app

The platform is led by Diego Kafie, with co-founders Stu Feldt and Nic Weber. Noise launched the mobile game app Playbite in 2025, after two years of development, and now reports 1.5 million creators. The round was led by investors Capital Midwest, M25 and Grishin Robotics. Capitalize VC and executives from companies such as DoorDash also joined. Noise's total funding has thus risen to $7.2 million.

“Our top brands work with several thousand creators on autopilot,” said chief executive Diego Kafie. Most of Noise's customers so far are mobile app developers with startup budgets. In the longer term the company wants to work with brands of all sizes.

Everyday people's videos in paid advertising

Noise has also just launched Organic-to-Ads, a programme that lets brands use creators' videos as paid advertising on Meta's platforms and TikTok, alongside the creators' own posts. A brand can therefore boost these videos with an advertising budget and reach a wider audience with them.

Competition and EU rules

TechCrunch places Noise among firms such as Billo and JoinBrands, which build infrastructure for content creators. The TikTok One platform and the Creator Marketing Hub tool, which Meta has been rolling out worldwide since mid-September, also connect brands with creators. According to Kafie, Noise specialises in working with everyday people, from whom it makes new creators. In the EU, paid partnerships and advertising built on user videos must be clearly marked as commercial communications. The detailed labelling rules nonetheless differ between countries.
